"Video Killed the Radio Star" is a song by the British New Wave group Buggles released in 1979. It celebrates the golden days of radio, talking of a singer whose career is cut short by television. In 1981, the video revolution was kickstarted by MTV and this video was the first one to be aired. When our station manager saw this student directed film, he knew that he wanted it to launch the 3rd season of Spartan Youth Radio!
