ROLLER DERBY featuring "They All Fall Down" by THE CREEPSHOW
Lace up those retro roller skates, get some tattoos, turn up the attitude and get out on the floor! Emma Piche spent time with members of various women's roller derby teams and, unfortunately, the audio was so poor we couldn't use any of the interviews. Instead, we thought we'd put together a montage of hits, falls and runs. We received permission from The Creepshow to use their song "They All Fall Down" featuring the voice of YouTube sensation Sarah Blackwood (also of Walk Off The Earth). WATCH HERE or WATCH ON YOUTUBE.
SPORTSCASTER DAVE HODGE
Dave Hodge has been broadcasting sports for over four decades, working for both TSN and CBC. In fact, he captained Hockey Night in Canada before Ron McLean. Currently a host on TSN, Hodge has interviewed the greats and commented on all sorts of sports issues. Veteran Spartan Youth Radio reporter Blake Priddle chatted with Hodge and talked about his long career, what makes a good broadcaster, about the contentious issue of concussions and who he would pick to fill out his fantasy hockey team roster. You'll be surprised by his picks!
