-Spartan Youth Radio is the only high school podcast radio station
in Canada
-Spartan Youth Radio is produced by volunteers at Espanola High
School
-Students also produce content as part of their Media Arts and
Communication Technology courses
-Spartan Youth Radio is an award-winning movie producer. Our 2
minute short "They Shuffled Amongst Us" Spartan Youth Radio was the
recipient of a Best Buy Best in Class grant of $20,000 to purchase
new equipment. The movie cost us $20.00 to make, which means that
we are also more commercially successful than Avatar, Casablanca,
Star Wars and every Chuck Norris film.

Actor Kevin Morrison said that "those were the best questions I've
ever had...I mean, you did your research!" Author Margaret Atwood
wrote in her blog that "my interviewer, Madeline Lemire, was a
credit to radio. She did a fine job of it: well-prepared, poised,
and a million times friendlier than my first radio interviews back
in 1969." An anonymous guest said that "you asked better
questions than CTV just did!"
