A Rainbow Connection is an exciting new documentary produced by Spartan Youth Radio in conjunction with the Spartan Gay Straight Alliance and other similar groups in the Rainbow District School Board.

The focus of the documentary is to focus on these important questions:

1. Why did you join your school's Gay Straight Alliance or Diversity Club?
2. What issues do gay students have to deal with in your community?
3. What advice would you give to someone who is an ally, is supportive of the cause, but who has remained silent about it?
4. What advice would you give to someone who is struggling with orientation issues and is thinking of taking drastic, self-destructive action?

HOW IS MOBY, KAREN KOSOWSKI AND COLLETTE SAVARD INVOLVED?

The world's most famous electronica/dance artist, Moby, runs MobyGratis and contributes free songs to be used by independent filmmakers he and his management think would benefit.   Karen Kosowski and Collette Savard are two Toronto-based musicians with a highly respected list of CDs, shows and collaborations.  All three incredible artists have agreed to contribute music for the documentary!

HOW CAN YOU HELP MAKE THIS DOCUMENTARY?

1. Record yourself, on video or audio, answering those four questions and send them to us....OR
2. Call Spartan Youth Radio at 705-869-1590 extension 6264 and leave a message answering the questions (three minute maximum OR make multiple calls).
3. If you're a school in the Rainbow District School Board, ask your principal to invite the Spartan Youth Radio documentary crew to visit your school to film your responses (minimum 5 people please!)

WHERE WILL THIS DOCUMENTARY BE DISTRIBUTED?

Spartan Youth Radio will distribute this documentary, for free, on our YouTube Channel and at spartanyouthradio.com.  We will also make free copies available for every GSA/Diversity Club in the school board.  Additional copies will be distributed for a minimum donation to cover copying, printing and postage costs (price to be determined).
